Iwatsu Glass Co is one of Japan's most recognised manufacturers of mid-century glass. They produced incredible coloured glass pieces which were adored and collected by the Western market hungry for affordable quality and outstanding style.

Based in Osaka, Japan, Iwatsu were prolific in the 1960s and 1970s with an amazing range of bowls, vases, centrepieces and art pieces, and their work is sometimes mistaken for Italian or Czech pieces. Their Hineri range was especially popular and can be found today, sometimes with their foil labels intact.

This stunning pink vase from their Hineri range is sometimes referred to as a handkerchief bowl, but more closely resembles the petals of a flower. The colour is a vibrant pink and the label remains largely intact.
