Galliano Ferro Bullicante Small Bowl c1950s-1960s, Murano

$95.00

This delightful small Venetian glass bowl was made by Galliano Ferro on the island of Murano near Venice, Italy in the 1950/60's. Ferro co-founded Arte Vetraria Muranese (AVEM) in 1932, and went on to establish his own glass factory in 1955.

Ferro made various versions of these bowls, which generally combine clear or coloured glass encasing a coloured base, and featuring a controlled bubble effect known as 'bullicante'.

This example is in a rounded square shape, with a stunning pink interior. The controlled bubbles dance around the body to create an exquisite visual effect from any angle.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition. Please note dimensions carefully as it is often difficult to represent sizes accurately in photographs.
