Midcentury Liqueur Set, handblown glass

$135.00
SOLD

This modern-era liqueur set features a stunning midcentury shape which accentuates the gradations in the emerald green glass. The decanter is fitted with its original heavy stopper which is in perfect condition. The six glasses echo the elegant shape of the decanter, and fit perfectly in the hand with their cinched design.

Polish glass enjoys an ancient and illustrious history, with glass-making evidence from over 2000 years ago. From the 1950s, Polish glassmakers fused modern design with function, to become an important European glassmaking centre and many Polish glassmakers, including Krosno, rivalled their contemporaries from Italy and the Czech Republic.

Made in Poland labels remain on several pieces, including the decanter.

N.B. There is a very small chip in the rim of the decanter which is not noticeable in normal conditions. Please see final image.
