Renowned Romanian-born master glassmaker Ioan Nemtoi developed his artistic talent from an early age, and later graduated from the Art Academy in Bucharest before returning to Romania to establish his own glass studio. Nemtoi’s works are shown across the globe, and are held in collections in the Vatican, UNICEF , McLaren Inc, and high-end private collections.
Nemtoi established his own gallery in SoHo, New York and is represented by David Barnett gallery in Milwaukee where similar pieces retail at approximately US$3000 (AUD $4500). Nemtoi has also exhibited in London.
This extraordinary orange vase has a bold black rim and includes multiple coloured and metallic inclusions, producing a vividly striking object. The vase is in excellent condition and is clearly inscribed near the base.
